The International Union of Economists (IUE) is an independent international non-government public organization which was founded in 1991. The International Union of Economists is in General Consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations since 1999. The IUE is associated with the United Nations Department of Public Information (DPI NGO UN).
Nowadays the International Union of Economists unites the representatives from 48 countries of the world. The main headquarter is located in Moscow. The International Union of Economists holds annual meetings, congresses, conferences on actual questions of world and regional economic development in different countries of the world.
In 2016 IUE is celebrating a significant event — 25 years of its activity. At the present time an extensive program of events devoted to this date is being implemented. The main event of the anniversary celebrations is the Jubilee Annual meeting. XXV Anniversary Meeting of the International Union of Economists members with the subject of the Annual Meeting is «The modern world: a new economic reality» will be held on April 20, 2016 in the «President-Hotel» (Russian Federation, Moscow, Bolshaya Yakimanka str., 24).
The participants of the Annual Meeting are members of the International Unions of Economists, senior state officials, leading scientists and experts, representatives of business communities of different countries, аmbassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Russian Federation, representatives of national and international organizations.
