The International Union of Economists is an independent international
non-government public organization.
The International Union of Economists was founded by economists-scientists and
practitioners, public figures, bankers and entrepreneurs from different
countries in Bulgaria (Sandansk) in 1991.
 
Aims and goals of the International Union of Economists:
- promoting economic reforms as the main mean of the world community
development;
- participation in development and realization of national and
international projects and programs aimed at acceleration of economic growth
and stabilization of the economic situation in different countries, and
development of the integration processes in different regions of the world;
- ensuring the broad international exchange of information in various
fields of economy, science, technology and other fields of activity;
- rendering practical assistance in development of small and medium
business;
- search and implementation of new forms of international collaboration;
- expansion of collaboration with national and international organizations,
unions, associations in the field of socio-economic, scientific and
technical ideas.
Nowadays the International Union of Economists unites the representatives
from 48 countries of the world. It has representative and branch offices in 21
countries.

Main headquarters are in Moscow (House of economists) and in New York (in
the UN Building).
The International Union of Economists is in General Consultative status with
the economic and social council of the United Nations. The IUE is a member
of the International Union of Technical and Engineering Associations and
United Nations' Department of Public Information, Non-government
Organizations (DPI NGO UN).
Members of the IUE
are national and regional unions and associations of economists, outstanding
economist-scientists and practitioners, public figures, public agents,
representatives of business circles of different countries of the world. The
Union is opened to everyone who shares its aims and principles of its activity.
 
In its activity the International Union of Economists follows the Charter goals
and «Main trends» that are approved by the IUE members every five years.
Within the scope of its Publishing Program, the International Union of
Economists is publishing newspapers, magazines, bulletins and other literature,
amounting to 11 million copies annually. These include «The Proceedings
of the International Union of Economists and Free Economic Society of Russia»,
newspaper «Economic News of Russia and Commonwealth», «The Customs Reporter»,
collection of normative acts «Documents», and News letter
«Econom» which is the
«Information Bulletin of the International Union of Economists».
The
International Union of Economists holds international forums, conferences,
round tables, seminars, symposiums, meetings, international congresses on
regional development, enormous exhibitions. The International Union of
Economists implements a number of programs: «Problems of the international
economic security», «Energy development: questions of security», «World
experience of crisis management measures», «Problems of climate changes», «Sustainable
economic development», «Globalizatio processes in the world» and other theme
and educational programs, conducts extensive publishing activity.
The International Union of Economists cooperates with the UN, European Union,
UNESCO units and other international organizations, holds the events under
the patronage of these organizations.
The International Union of Economists is a constantly developing system.
Some programs and projects are being held for 20 years, others are
constantly reorganized, merge or come to an end, make way for new ones. A
number of programs are held jointly with the Free Economic Society of Russia,
Russian Academy of Sciences, International
Academy of Management, authoritative Russian and Foreign social
organizations. Statesmen, entrepreneurs, businessmen and bankers, eminent
Russian and foreign economists participate in the programs' implementation.
Gavriil Kharitonovich POPOV,
who is the President of the Free Economic Society of Russia, President of
the International University, President and honorary full member of the
International Academy of Management, academician of the Russian Academy of
Natural Sciences, Doctor of Economics, professor, is the IUE President since
1991.
In its activity the International Union of Economists follows the Charter

Organizations established with the assistance of the
international union of economists
International university
International University (in Moscow) was founded in 1991 as the
first non-government accredited higher education institution. The
International Union of Economists is the co-founder of the
International University.
The University prepares specialists in economics, finance,
management, public Administration, jurisprudence, journalism,
linguistics, psychology, entrepreneurship in the Arts, advertising
and public relations.
International Academy of management
The International Union of Economists and Academy of Industrial
Management established the International Academy of Management in
1996. The Academy brings together representatives from over twenty
countries all around the world. The Academy is a community, which
has a powerful, unique scientific and intellectual potential,
bringing together scientists and economists as well as the leaders
of all sectors of national economy.
At the present time, the Academy has more than 300 individual
members. They are: the leading scholars, the heads of organizations
and enterprises, as well as groups of enterprises, banks, community
organizations, educational institutions, etc.
International consultating and legal center on taxation
The International Consulting and Legal Center on taxation of income
of companies and personal income works successfully and continuously
expands its infrastructure.
ICLC (International Consulting and Legal Center) was founded in
December 1992 by combining the human resources and the client base
of several audit companies. Since that time, ICLC is an integral
part of audit and consulting market.
At present time, ICLC is a dynamically developing audit and
consulting group, which includes a number of specialized firms,
focused on providing a broad range of consulting services.
ICLC is a member of Audit Chamber of Russia, National Federation of
Consultants and Auditors, National League of Subjects of Valuation
Activities, the Valuation Committee of the Chamber of Commerce and
Industry of the Russian Federation; accredited appraiser of the
Moscow City Government and the Ministry of Property Relations of the
Moscow Region.
Russian-american joint venture «amscort international»
The International Union of Economists jointly with All-Russian
Exhibition Centre and Corporation «Menlo Group» (San-Francisco, the
USA) founded Russian-American joint venture «Amscort International».
The basic directions of its activities: investment projects,
organizing and holding exhibitions and fairs, international
symposiums, seminars and conferences, foreign economic activity,
international business tourism, researching and realization of
different Internet-projects.
International club of managers
The International Academy of Management jointly with the
International Union of Economists founded the International Club
Managers. Its first meeting took place in Cognac (France) in October
2006.
The purposes of the International Club Managers:
to provide assistance to the effective application of modern
techniques, technologies and practical business solutions:
to provide opportunities for the free exchange of experience,
information and ideas, acquiring new business contacts and informal
communication between managers all around the world.
The members of the Club are the leading managers of Russian and
foreign companies, eminent scientists and economists.
The president of the International Club Managers is Krasilnikov V.
N., the first Vice-president of the International Academy of
Management, the first Vice-president of Free Economic Society of
Russia, the first Vice-president, director general of the
International Union of Economists.
«Eurasian economic club of scientists» association (EECS)
At the suggestion of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan,
N.A. Nazarbayev, «Eurasian Economic Club of Scientists» Association
(EECS) (Astana, Kazakhstan) jointly with the IUE was created in
2008.The main purpose of «Eurasian Economic Club of Scientists»
Association is to merge scientists, economists and practitioners,
public members for solving problems of economic development as well
as promoting economic and social progress of the world community,
creating the conditions for a full exchange of ideas, experience,
knowledge in the organization and management at the macro and micro
levels. One of the main events of «Eurasian Economic Club of
Scientists» Association is the holding of Astana Economic Forum.
IUE Presidium established offices in various countries around the
world for the most effective implementation of statutory objects of
the IUE, the geographic expansion of the IUE, the development of
international relations between members of the Union.
The International Union of Economists is open to everybody
who shares its goals and principles. It is ready for mutually
beneficial cooperation with all progressive forces aimed at economic
and social development of the Russian Federation, other regions, and
other countries!
