At the Meeting a number of practical questions of IUE activity was considered. The participants approved the following documents:

- The report on the IUE activity in the period 2001 - 2005;

• the report of the IUE Auditing Comission in 2005;
• the report on execution of the IUE budget in 2005;
• the IUE budget for 2006;
• the main directions of the International Union of economists activity in the period 2006 - 2011.

The President, the first Vice-president, Presidium, Auditing Comission, Chairman of the Coordination Council were elected.

At the Meeting the IUE Direction structure was approved:

The leaders of the United Nations Economic and Social Council, representatives of UNO, UNESCO, Habitat and other international organizations, RF and Moscow Governments, international economic institutions, large-scale banks and companies, prominent economists and scientists took part in the meeting.

The International Union of economists anniversary was the great event for the IUE members, so the participants were suggested by the interesting wide programme of the meeting, including official arrangements, business meetings, scientific discussions and cultural programme in the states New York, Nevada, California, Hawaii. In Nevada there was an opportunity to take part in the greatest international Forum-exhibition "Consumer Electronics Show".
